Mommy and packing!

Um post mega rápido para vos mostrar a minha mamy com um vestido que não encontro nem por nada (em Lisboa!) e com um jumpsuit que também adoro, em Coimbra!


A super quick post just to show you my momy with a wonderfull dress (that I can't find anywhere!!) in Lisbon, in with a jumpsuit I also loooove (in Coimbra)!!

E pronto, vou voltar à saga das malas!

Amanhã muito cedo vou para Lisboa, conhecer a minha nova casa e cuscar os desfiles da Moda Lisboa!

Não sei se já vos tinha dito mas sou a pior pessoa a fazer malas... Agora imaginem ter de arranjar 4 conjuntos para a nossa semana da moda, tendo em conta mudanças de tempo, humor e a minha restrição a compras! Vai ser lindo!....

E prometo muitas fotos, e detalhes de tudo! ;)

And voila, I'm going back to the packing saga!

Early tomorrow I'll be going to Lisbon to meet my new home and sneack the shows of Lisbon Fashion Week!

Don't know if I mentioned before but I'm the worst packer ever!... Now picture me having to get 4 outfits for fashion week, taking into account changes in the weather, my mood and my restriction on purchases! It's going to be great (not!)!....

 I promise lots of pictures and details of everything! ;)

Vamos falar de guarda-roupa, peças vintage, peças novas...

Não é segredo para ninguém que adoro roupa! Adoro moda no seu todo mas como mulher (gaja mesmo!!) adoro comprar pecinhas novas mas como também já várias vezes aqui mostrei adoro transformar as pelas de roupa, dar-lhes o meu toque um twist e salvar-lhes a vida!

Let's talk about wardrobe, vintage pieces, new pieces ...
There is no secret that I love clothes! I love fashion as a whole but as a woman I also love buying new little pieces as well as, I had shown you here, i love to transforming clothes, give them a twist, my touch and save them!

No outro dia em conversa com a minha querida Pretty in Pink ela confessou-me ter muitas peças guardadas no armário que apesar de ainda gostar delas já não achava actuais e que tinha receio de as conjugar!

Ora bolas, isto acontece-nos imenso mas há peças que se calhar com um pequeno toque ficariam mais "a nossa cara" e poderíamos voltar a usar.
Então o que vos venho propor é:
Investiguem nos vossos armários, baús, whatever e fotografem aquela peça que vocês adoram ou têm imensa pela de não usar (por qualquer motivo) para eu tentar dar sugestões de como a podem mudar.



Yesterday in a conversation with my beloved Pretty in Pink she confessed me she has many pieces kept in her closet that even thou they are still good, she's afraid it may look outdated and is afraid to mix it!
This happens to us a lot but there are pieces that maybe with a little touch would be more "us!" and we could re-use them.
So what I want to propose you is this:
Investigate deep in your wardrobes, whatever and photographed that piece that you love or for some reason you can't give it away and send it to me.  I will try to give you suggestions of how they can be changed.

Fiz a experiência com a Pretty e um vestido que ela usou num baile de finalistas e de um casaco de ganga que lhe custou "os olhos da cara" e que agora estava arrumado.
O vestido teve destino imediato: corta e faz um top! Very glam com uns boyfriend jeans vai ficar o máximo!
O casaco está a ser um autentico desafio mas já tenho algumas ideias que estou a tentar pôs no papel!

O que acham da ideia? Alinham em algo assim do género?
Quando tiver o casaco da Pretty "pronto" mostro-vos para se calhar perceberem melhor... :)

I tryed with Pretty with a dress that she wore in prom and a denim jacket that cost her a "big lot".
The dress had an immediate destination: cut and you have a perfect top, very glam with some boyfriend jeans will look great! ;)
The jacket is being a true challenge but I have some ideas I'm trying to put on paper!


What do you think of the idea? Would you be up for something like that?
As soon as I have Pretty in Pink's jacket "done" I will show you so you get will what I mean.

Eu sou viciada em chá!´

E preferencialmente quente. Vai daí e porque todas as garrafas de aluminio que tenho não conservam o calor (pelo contrário, o calor sai por todos os lados!!) hoje comprei esta coisinha:

Queria era vir aqui deixar o aviso:

ela conserva o quente conserva! Mas pelo amor da santa não sejam "lambonas" como eu que tentei beber diretamente da garrafa... e fui enganada do sítio por onde sai o chá! Resultado, tenho o lábio queimado e o queixo mega vermelho!

Sejam calminhas, ponham o cházinho na tampa e beber com calma! Aprendam que eu não duro sempre ou algum dia vou deixar de fazer estas coisas estupidas! -.-'

Meat Free Monday - veggies pot pie (empadão vá!)

Ora a receita Meat Free Monday de hoje pode ser uma grande ajuda para quem tem amigos vegetarianos (e sabe o quanto eles sofrem com o: oh, comes uma saladinha ou uma omelete!) e em cima de hora lhes pode dar uma refeição óptima e sem comprar nada que depois tenham medo de não usar.

Hoje temos um empadão de legumes que o pai do Moço desencantou especialmente aqui para a Je! :$ Obrigada e desculpe o trabalho extra!:$ :)

So, today's  Meat Free Monday recipe can be a great help for those who have vegetarian friends (and know how much they suffer with: oh, you will eat just a salad or an omelet!) and in a tight scedule can give them a great meal and without buying anything they might not use after the visit.

Today we have a vegetable pot pie that my bf's father invented just for me! :$

Ora bem, para esta receita que além de fácil é mesmo muito boa, vão precisar de:

-puré instantâneo

- os legumes que tiverem no frigorifico: berigelas, cougerttes, cenoura, bróculos, cogumelos ... 

- cebola e alho

- azeite

- um pouco de vinho branco ou sumo de limão

- um ovo batido (que eu tinha e portanto não aparece nas fotos!)

To this very good and easy recipe you will need:

- instant mashed potatoes

- Vegetables you have in the fridge: eggplant, cougertts, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms ...

- Onion and garlic

- olive oil

- A little white wine or lemon juice

- An egg (which I didn't had and therefore doesn 't appear in the photos! -.-')

Comecem por fazer o puré seguindo as instruções da embalagem (há uma pare que diz para acrescentar leite, eu em vez disso acrescentei água e vai dar ao mesmo: pessoas não se lembrem de pôr leite de soja!! O leite de soja é assim para o adocicado e era da maneira que estragavam tudo!:S)

Cortem os legumes e refoguem:

cebolas e alho primeiro a alourar no azeite e depois os legumes que demoram mais a cozinhar e só depois os restantes. Temperem com sal, pimenta, rosmaninho, tomilho, manjericão e tapem a panela para que os legumes cozam com um pouco do próprio vapor. 

Quando estiverem praticamente prontos reguem com um pouco do vinho branco ou o sumo de limão - este segredo foi-me partilhado pelo pai do Moço, e intensifica o sabor dos legumes! ;)

Agora é só montar o empadão: uma camada de legumes, uma de puré, uma de legumes...

Por cima espalhem o ovo batido e podem decorar com raspas de queijo, sementes de sésamo ou de linhaça e umas rodelinhas de courgette.

Levem a gratinar um pouco e está pronto!;D

Start by making the smashed potatoes according with package directions.

Cut the vegetables and brown them:

onions and garlic in olive oil to brown first and then the vegetables that take longer to cook and only after the others vegetables. Season it with salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, basil and obscure the pan so the vegetables can cook in their own steam.

When it's almost ready sprinkle it with a bit of white wine or lemon juice - this secret was shared to me by my bf's father, it intensifies the flavor of the vegetables! ;)

Now just assemble the pot pie: a layer of vegetables, one of  puree, one of vegetables ...

On top spread the beaten egg and decorate with grated cheese, sesame seeds or flaxseed and some slices of courgette if you want.

Take in the oven for a bit and that's it!:D

Ontem fiz as pazes com duas peças perdidas no armário.

Uma delas foi o melhor par de sabrinas que alguma vez tive e que elevaram os meus standarts e obviamente agora não consigo igualar! -.-'

Comprei-as quando andava no 8º ano (lembro-me como se fosse hoje, credo!) e agora, quase 8 anos depois ainda saio à rua com elas e ainda as acho o máximo!

Yesterday I made peace with two lost pieces in my closet.

One of them was the best pair of ballerinas I have ever had and that raised my standarts and I now can't match! -. - '

I bought them when I was in 8th grade (I remember like it was today, jes!) and now, almost eight years later I can still go out to the street with them and rock them!

A outra foi uma (descobri também!) de três parkas (demasiado semelhantes!). Como o tempo estava mais "tristinho" achei que era uma boa aposta, mais o cintinho vintage para marcar a cintura e tirar o ar infantil ao bicho.

The other one was (I found out too!!!) on of three parkas (too much similar to each other!). And as the weather was "a little sad" I thought it was a good bet, plus the vintage bet to mark the waist and get the childish look away! ;)

Eu sei que as meninas reclamam por fotos a sério e não sempre close-ups mas quando a cara não estiver praí virada não vou estar com meias medidas ok? :$ ;)

My blogs name!

Prometido é devido e como se faz com as crianças vamos contar uma história, a história de como surgiu o nome deste meu pequeno! ;)

Promised is due and how it's done with little children I will tell you a story, the story of how I came up with my blog's name! ;)

Então era uma vez uma menina que adorava blogs, passava horas colada ao computador a investigar, a retirar imagens - o momento alto do dia era quando podia estar a sós com o computador e visitar a lista (já grande!) dos blogs preferidos. A menina também gostava muito de fotografia e irritava-se com ela própria por nunca andar com a máquina fotográfica para poder registar aqueles pequenos momentos que a faziam sorrir. 

Um dia, e com o incentivo de outra amiga - já blogger VIP (;P) - decidiu começar um. Já que passava tanto tempo a visita-los porque não criar um onde pudesse partilhar todos aqueles instantes que a sua memória fotografia lhe dizia serem preciosos, queridos e que por uma razão ou outra seriam capazes de arrancar um sorriso sincero.

So once upon a time a girl who loved blogs, spent hours glued to her computer searching, saving pictures - the high point of her day was when she could be alone with the computer and revisit the list (already big!) of her favorite blogs. The girl also loved photography and got annoyed with herself for not walking with her camera all the time and not beeing able to record those little moments that made her smile.

One day, and with the encouragement of a friend - an already VIP blogger (;P) - she decided to start her own one. Since she spent so much time visiting them why not create one where she could share all those moments that her photographic memory told her to be precious and that for one reason or another would be able to start a sincere smile in anyone. 

Mas que nome lhe daria? Com o boom de blogs queria algo que pudesse marca a diferença e significasse o que queria transmitir nos posts... pequenas coisas e detalhes que tirados do seu contexto faziam sorrir e ter um momento Eureka! ;)

Sinceramente acho que não pensei muito, nesta altura ainda tinha muito presente a festa de anos de uma das minhas melhores amigas que tinha sido feita em minha casa! Era normal haver jantares no 5º andar sem elevador na baixa, mas festas de anos nem por isso, teria de haver diferença na arrumação da casa (houve!) e na apresentação da comida (que não era muito diferente da habitual nestes jantares!). 

Resultado, tendo o meu peixinho Mr Marshall falecido meses antes e sem haver sítio para colocar as batatas fritas juntou-se o útil ao agradável e puseram-se as chips dentro do fishbowl.

Como ninguém naquela casa batia muito bem da cabeça, aquilo fez furor e assim ficou!

Hoje acho que um aquário redondo é um item essencial:

- é casa de um peixe se assim o quiserem

- dá para pôr comida lá dentro e servir aos convidados que mesmo que achem estranho também podem achar piada!

- é um excelente vaso! :D ui, ramos de flores vão direitinhos para ali e aguentam-se que é uma maravilha!;)

But what name to give it? With the boom of blogs I wanted something that could make the difference and mean what I wanted to pass on the posts ... little things and details that were taken out of context would create a smile and give an Eureka moment! ;)

I honestly didn't have to think too much because at this point it was still very present my best friends birthday party that had been in my house! It was normal to have dinners on the 5th floor with no elevator in downtown Lisbon, but for birthday parties I wanted to make look different.

So, as my goldfish Mr Marshall died months before and with no place to put the chips we joined business with pleasure and put the chips inside the fishbowl. :)

As anyone in that house is mentally wealthy it became a hit!!!

Nowadays I think that a round fishbowl is an essential item in every house:

- Is home to a fish if you want

- You can put food in there and serve it to your guests who will find it awkward but also funny!

- Is an excellent vase! : D all my bouquets went straight there and it looked wonderful! ;)

xD Desculpem o testamento mas não podia vir cá dizer que era por ter um défice de travessas, imaginação a mais e um peixe morto!:S
