Digo isto porque tanto pode refletir coisas bonitas como nos cortar as asas!

Eu por mim, gosto de espelhos não-muito-bons! Se acharem que estão o máximo, eventualmente a confiança que têm vai superar as figuras menos felizes que possam estar a fazer!... ;)

Fiz-me entender?!:S

I say this because it may reflect beautiful things as well as cutting our wings and imagination!

As for me, I like not-very-good mirrors! If you think you look wonderful your confidence will overpower  the less happy figures you might be doing! ... ;)

almost 1 year of Chips-ina-Fishbowl

Ora bem, aqui o chips está quase a fazer 1 ano!:D

O primeiro post está efectivamente marcado com o dia 20 de Fevereiro mas como só cá comecei a escrever mais a sério a partir do dia 3 de Março significa que temos uma aniversário cigano de mais de uma semana para fazer!;P

Não faço muito bem ideia do que vou fazer mas uma coisa é certa, vou explicar o nome do blog! Até lá, de onde acham que fui buscar nome tal parvo? ;P

Well, my chips here is almost one year old! :D

The first post is actually marked on February 20 but as I started writing more seriously from March 3 that means that we have a gypsy birthday party to do with more than a week! ;P

I have no idea of ​​what I do but one thing is certain, I'll explain the blog name! 

Until then, where do you think I picked up this silly name? ;P

Room details

Estou neste momento em Lisboa, para matar saudades de todas as pessoas queridas que por aqui tenho! :D

Mas antes de vir para cá consegui pôr o meu quarto em ordem (dias e dias de trabalho mas lá consegui!)... Fiquem com alguns promenores de um quarto que tem coisas de 2, tinha mesmo de ser prático e claro, de jogar com o que tinha!;)

(e sim, a mania de brincar com os tecidos e tintas é genético!;P Obrigada pelas palavras tão simpáticas!:P)

I am currently in Lisbon to see all the sweet people I have here! :D

 But before coming here I managed to put my room in order (days and days of hard work but I managed!) ... Stay with some details ;)

 (and yes, the habit of playing with fabric and paint is genetic! ;P Thank you for so nice words :P)

My little girl carnival masks!

Então esse carnaval está a ser bom ou está a ser como o meu, a passar completamente ao lado?

Confesso que ligava ao Carnaval quando era mesmo miúda e era a minha mãe que me criava os fatos, desde que ela os deixou de fazer nunca mais voltou a ser a mesma coisa (quase com o Natal depois de saber que afinal o Pai Natal não existia!)! 

E já que estou fiquem com algumas das minhas máscaras  e não se riam muito das minhas figuras, tá?! ;P

But I confess, I loved carnival when I was little girl and my mother made me the costumes, since she stopped it lost all the fun (almost like Christmas after telling you Santa doesn't exist!)!

Na minha escola primária a festa era feita num salão e onde chamavam a desfilar: todos os punks, todas as gatinhas, todas as Colombinas!... E lá ia eu sozinha a desfilar!:D Ohhhhh yeah!:D

In my elementary school the carnival party was done in a big salon where they call to do "a little runway show" with: "all the punks, all the kittens, all Colombines!... And there I went, alone!!! :D Ooooh yeah, I loved it!:D

Meat Free Monday - cogumelos recheados / stuffed mushrooms

Ora bem, se este post estivesse a ser escrito há uns anos atrás diria que toda a gente ia gostar! Mas num grupo de amigos de faculdade com +-8 pessoas, 3 não gostam de cogumelos! Say whaaaaaaat??! =O

Quem é que não gosta de cogumelos? Há muitos desse lado que vão ver o titulo e dizer-me "Até amanhã, Sara!" ?? É que a receita de hoje é de cogumelos recheados!

Encontrei 2 receitas de cogumelos recheados aqui por casa que me inspiraram mas como não tinha os ingredientes todos para nenhuma delas resolvi inventar! So here it goes:

Well, if this post was being written a few years ago would say that everyone would like it! But in a group of college friends with + -8 persons, 3 of them don't like mushrooms! Say whaaaaaaat?! =O

Who doesn't like mushrooms? How many are you on that side of the monitor that will see the title of the post and tell me "See you tomorrow, Sara!" ? Because today's recipe is stuffed mushrooms!

I found two recipes of stuffed mushrooms that inspired me but because I did't had all the ingredients for any of them decided to invent one on my own! So here it goes:

Ingredientes (para 2 cogumelos recheados):

- 1 embalagem de 4 cogumelos portobello

- meia cebola e 2 dentes de alho

- Meio tomate

- Molho maggi 

- Queijo Emmental e queijo da ilha

- Sal, pimenta, manjericão e tomilho

- 3 Nozes

- Salsa

   

Ingredients (for 2 stuffed mushrooms):

- A pack with 4 portobello mushrooms

- Half an onion and 2 cloves of garlic

- Half tomatoe

- Maggi sauce

- Emmental cheese and cheese from the Island 

- Salt, pepper, basil and thyme

- 3 Nuts

- Salsa

Ponham o forno a pré-aquecer e untem um tabuleiro. 

Ponham 2 cogumelos (com o chapéu virado para cima) no tabuleiro untado e piquem os outros 2 cogumelos. (Podem também tirar um bocadinho do interior do cogumelo que ficar no tabuleiro!)

Refoguem a cebola, o alho, o tomate e os cogumelos. Adicionem um bocado de molho Maggi (sorry, adoro este molho mas não tenho a certeza se há à venda em todo o país - nos hipermercados maiores já são capazes de encontrar e é super versátil para molhos de saladas, seitan, tofu...) e deixem cozinhar uns minutos.

Depois deixem arrefer um bocadinho e temperem com sal, pimenta, manjericão e tomilho. Raspem um bocado de um queijo bastante forte e salgado: queijo da ilha é optimo!; e queijo emmental. 

Quando estava a fazer esta parte puz-me a pensar e achei que faltava algo crocante... nozes, 3! ;)

Misturem e distribuam pelos cogumelos e levem-nos ao forno por +-20minutos!

Depois de tirarem do forno raspem mais um bocadinho de queijo da ilha e salsa! 

Já está!:D

Put the oven to preheat and grease a board.

Put two mushrooms (with the hat facing up) on the greased board and slice the other two very thin. (If you want you can also take a little of the interior of the mushroom that it's on the board!)

Braise the onion, garlic, tomatoes and mushrooms. Add a bit of Maggi sauce (sorry, I love this sauce - it's super versatile for sauces, salads, seitan, tofu ...) and let it cook for a few minutes.

Let it cool down a bit and temper it with salt, pepper, basil and thyme. Shave a bit of a very strong and salty cheese: cheese island is great!, and emmental cheese.

When I was doing this part I realized it lacked something crunchy ... nuts, 3! ;)

Mix and dispence it on top of the mushrooms and put them on the oven for +- 20minutes!

After taking it out of the oven, put some more of the strong cheese and the salsa!

It's done! :D

Jumpsuit makeover - phase 1!

Uma pequena maravilha de que tive de me despedir em Amesterdão foi das lojas vintage!

Há imensas e para todo o tipo de carteiras (se estiverem a planear lá ir posso vos dar mais detalhes!;) ) e a peça que lá comprei que mais adoro é este macacão.

Adoro-o! 

A forma como me assenta na cintura até me ilumina os olhos! xD

The little wonder that I had to leave in Amsterdam was their amazing vintage shops!

There're a lot of them and for all kinds of wallets (if you're planning to go there I can give you more details!;)) and the piece I bought there I most love this jumpsuit.

I love it! 

The way it lies on the waist just lights my eyes!! xD

O "problema" é que o padrão (que gosto imenso!!) é de tal forma forte que acho que eu me perco ali no meio. 

Adoro-o como está mas é uma pena ficar guardado quando gosto de me ver com ele... por isso amanhã o pequeno vai ser tingido de preto!

Não atirem muitas pedras!!!!!! :$

É um daqueles casos em que sinto que a roupa está a vestir a pessoa e não o contrário, o que não dá não é??!

The "problem" is that the pattern (which I love, it's awesome!!) is so strong that I think I'm lost in it.

I love it as is but I know I won't use it like that and knowing it and how I much like to see myself with it... so tomorrow it will be dyed black!

Don't throw me a lot of stones!! :$

It's one of those cases where the clothes are wearing the person and not the other way, and that's not good, right?!

Além disso, se o tecido não for 100% algodão a probabilidade de ficar"mal" tingido é grande, o macaco não diz a composição mas aposto que é uma mistura de materiais o que vai fazer com que ele acabe por ficar preto mas com uns reflexos do antigo padrão - acho que vai ficar o máximo e ainda mais único!

Então? Ainda estão com muitas pedras na mão ou vão esperar para ver o resultado? ;)

Moreover, if the fabric is not 100% cotton it will most likely be dyed "badly", the jumpsuit does not say but I bet that the composition is a mixture of materials which will eventually make it black but with a reflections of the old pattern - I think it's going to look great and even more unique!

So? Are you atill holding a lot of stones or will you wait to see the result? ;)
