The sequins saga!!

Eu sei que vocês deliram com DIY mas sinceramente tenho de acalmar com essa febre aqui para os meus lados!... :S Agora dou por mim nas lojas a pensar: "nah, isto é tão básico de construir que até eu podia fazer!" e largo a peça de roupa!!!
Ok, em teoria é uma boa desculpa para não fazer compras impulsivas, mas ainda vou acabar por gastar mais dinheiro em tecidos, arranjos tempo perdido do que se a tivesse comprado logo!:S

Dou-vos o maior exemplo:

Saia lantejolas dourada e clutch lantejolas dourada!

I know you're crazy about DIY but honestly I have to calm down with that fever here at my side! ... :S Now I find myself in stores thinking: "nah, that is so basic to build  that I could do it myself!" and I leave the garment!
Ok, in theory it's a good excuse for not shopping impulsively but I still end up spending more money on fabrics, arrangements and lost time than if you had bought the stupid piece on the first place!:S

I give you the greatest example:
Golden sequin skirt and golden sequin clutch!

 

Zara: "cara".
H&M: "hum...  a ver se baixa!" - quando na realidade eu estava era a magicar: "compro o tecido e assim é muito mais giro!!"

Zara: "expensive".
H&M: "Hum ... let's see if it gets cheaper!" - When in reality I was thinking: "I'll buy the fabric and will be a lot cuter!"

 

Conclusão Final: "Vou comprar tecido de lantejolas! Quero duas peças com o mesmo tipo de tecido: nunca tive mais razões para comprar um tecido!"

Agora a ver se vocês conseguem chegar ao grande problema que aqui poisou!

Tecido de lantejolas é estupidamente caro, o preço por metro supera o preço da Zara das duas peças!!!!
Mas quando pensava que estava tudo perdido vi este T-shirt em saldos no site da Zara:


Final Conclusion: "I will buy sequin fabric, I want two pieces with the same fabric so I never had more reasons to buy one!"
Now let's see if you can get to the big problem that landed here:
Sequin fabric is stupidly expensive, the price per meter exceeds the price of the two pieces from Zara!!
But when I thought everything was lost I saw this T-shirt on sale on Zara's website:

Por 13€ já a encomendei e já está em minha casa à minha espera para ser virada ao contrário e ser transformada numa saia ou numa clutch!:D (só vendo é que consigo decidir o que vai ser;P)

For € 13 I already ordered it and it's already in my house waiting for me to be turned around and be transformed into a skirt or a clutch :D

Esta é mesmo a única razão pela qual "aturo" frio, e god! se está frio aqui!!! :S (a máxima por estes lados é minima... em Fevereiro!...:S Enquanto vou só ali brincar um bocadinho na neve e já venho!;D

This is really the only reason that I "put up with" cold, and god! if it's cold here! : S (the maximum temperature around here is bellow 0ºC! ... in February! :S

Navy Basic!

Houve uma altura muito "iluminada" da minha vida em que achava que para o guarda-roupa ser o mais versátil possível o segredo era ter muitos tops de tons lisos: assim podia combinar com acessórios e já está!

A inteligência aqui esqueceu-se foi de investir nesses mesmos acessórios e o que deveria ser versátil era na verdade mega boring! -.-' Com o passar do tempo (e puberdade) comecei a exigir mais de mim, e uma das exigências passava (e ainda passa) por me obrigar a usar padrões! Acreditem, quem esteve tanto tempo perdida de lisos os padrões podem assustar :S Mas aqui fica um dos itens que no meu armário está na categoria de básico (ou seja, preciso de ter sempre disponível e se já estiver velhinha tenho de lhe arranjar substituto!)

A t-shirt/camisola navy!

There was very "smart" time of my life when I thought that the key for a versatile wardrobe was to have tons of tops of many shades; so I could go with accessories and that was it!
The smart girl here only forgot to invest in those same accessories and what should be versatile was actually mega boring! -.- 'Over time (and puberty) I began to demand more from myself, and one of the requirements (and still) is to force me to use patterns! Believe me, wore for long plein t-shirts, it can be scary!:S

 But here is one of the items in my closet that is in the category of basic (ie, need to always have  available and if it gets old I have to get a new one! )

White top make-over!

Neste post mostrei-vos um top branco que comprei em promoção na H&M para um DIY. O top era demasiado...branco, plain e se o deixasse assim só o usaria para ir à praia =/!)

Como tinha comprado lantejolas, só porque sim!, achei que era boa ideia lhes dar algum uso e cosi-as na aba do decote...

In this post I showed you a white top I bought on sale at H&M for a DIY. ... The top was too white, and plain and if I had leaf it like that I would only wear it at the beach = /!)
As I had bought sequins, (just because) I thought it was a good idea to use some and sewed them on the neck flap...

Como o top é quase 2 tamanhos acima do meu normal quero arranjar uma maneira de o pôr mais junto ao meu corpo e não parecer que estou num saco de batatas fancy! (;P) e a ideia é colocar uma fita preta que dê a volta nas costas e lhe possa dar um laço tanto nas costas como à frente!

A fita ainda não está cosida -dai só a mostrar pousada- porque acho aquela fita demasiado grande, o que acham?

As the top is almost 2 sizes larger than my normal I wanna find a way to bring it closer to my body and that it doesn't look like I'm in a fancy bag of potatoes! ( ;p) and the idea is to put a black ribbon that go around the back and I can tie both back and at the front.

The ribbon is not sewn yet because I think it's too big, what do you think?

 

Meat Free Monday - Lentils lazy dish ;)

A receita de hoje é com lentilhas! :D

Não torçam já o nariz, estas leguminosas são super importantes na alimentação vegetariana porque são uma excelente fonte de ferro (ajudam a prevenir anemias!!) e sabem muuuito bem!

Este prato foi o resultado de um domingo de preguiça, frio e da necessidade de uma comida reconfortante!

Eu utilizei lentilhas enlatadas que são muito práticas, mas nem todos os supermercados as têm mas podem comprar em saco (como as sacos de arroz) num supermercado ou ervanária e pô-las de molho durante a 1-2horas que vai dar ao mesmo!;)

Today's recipe is with lentils! :D
Don't twist your nose just now! These vegetables are super important in vegetarian diets because they'er an excellent source of iron (helps prevent anemia!) and tastes soo well!
This dish was the result of a lazy Sunday, cold and the need for comfort food!

I used canned lentil that are more practical, but not all supermarkets have them but you can buy it in bags (like rice bags) in a supermarket and put them to soak for 1 to 2 hours - that will do the same!; )

Ingredientes:

- Lata de lentilhas

- Cebola, Alho francês, Pimentos, Tomate

- Azeite

- Pimenta/Sal/Caril

-ovo

Ingredients:
- Can of lentils
- Onions, Leek, Peppers, Tomatoes
- Olive oil
- Pepper / Salt / Curry

-egg

Como é a preguiça a autora deste prato o processo é ultra simples:

As laziness is the author of this dish, the process couldn't be more simple:

1. Alourar a cebola e o alho francês

2. Acrescentar o tomate e as lentilhas e deixar alourar um pouco.

3.Acrescentar cor com pimentos de todas as cores - acrescentem um pouquinho de água se for preciso. Parece um pouco "sopa" mas é melhor maneira de cozinhar os pimentos e soltar-lhes o sabor e deixa-los bem molinhos!:)

4. Temperem com sal a gosto, pimenta e um bocadinho de caril (pff ponham mesmo pouco caril, esta especiaria sobrepõe-se muito facilmente ao sabor dos outros alimentos todos!) e deixem apurar!

Enquanto esta parte repousava fiz um ovo escalfado:

-Ponham água com sal a ferver numa panela. Quando estiver bem bem quente partam um ovo para uma tigela e depois coloquem-no com jeitinho dentro da panela com a água a ferver. o passo da tigela ajuda a que o ovo não se parta e cai na panela de forma mais uniforme!

- Com uma espátula tentem que o ovo não "disperse" muito e após uns 3minutos já o devem poder tirar e colocar no prato! - it's that easy!

1. Brown the onion and the leek

2. Add tomatoes and lentils and let it also brown a little.
3. Add some color with peppers of all colors - add a little water if necessary. It may look like a "soup" but it's the best way to cook the peppers, release their taste and leaves them really soft :)
4. Season it with salt, pepper and a little curry (please put just a little bit of curry, this spice overlaps very easily the flavor of all other foods!) and let it stay there for a while!

While that i decided to do a poached egg:
- Put salted water to boil in a pan. When it's hot,  break the egg into a bowl and then put it nicely in the pan with boiling water. The step of the bowl helps the egg not fall apart and fall into the pan more evenly!
- After about 3minutes long you can take the egg out with a spatula! - It's that easy!

 

 

Se puderem juntar um arroz branco, perfect! Com o frio que está (oh, e se vamos ter de falar sobre isso! Está a nevar aqui people!!!!) não vão precisar de mais nada!;D

 

If you can add a bit of white rice, perfect! With this cold  (oh yeah, we will have to talk about it! It's snowing here, people!!!!) you won't not need anything else! ;D

Enquanto os ultimos cartuchos com as vizitas são queimados vou-vos dando música com os Frou Frou!

Imogen Heap e o Guy Sigsworth juntaram-se para (infelizmente ainda só) um album, Details. Tanto a Imogen como Frou Frou são muitaas vezes a banda sonora escolhida para aqui escrever e para também escrever nos vossos cantinhos!;)

Não será o tipo de música que agrada a toda a gente (tanto já as ouvi em séries e filmes como em elevadores! -.-'), mas como nada pode agradar a gregos e a troianos aqui fica para alguns de vocês ;P :

Desculpem o post ser tão lazy mas é fim de semana, tempo para descançar, aproveitar a familia, amigos e passear!

Fiquem a sonhar com tempo quente, doces e pôr de sol de tirar a respiração.

(Não se espantem se daqui a uns dias vos mostrar uma praia estranha...estou com saudades!=/)
