H&M sales for DIYs! ;)

No outro dia depois desta conversinha aqui com a H&M fui lá ver como ela estava. Estava bem e recomendava-se até porque isto veio comigo:

The other day after this little chat here with H&M I went to see how she was. She was well indeed, because I came home with this:

Foi à procura de algo deste género que lá entrei. Algo simples com que eu pudesse brincar, coser, descoser e tirar moldes! :D acabou por ser a peça mais cara 9.95€

I went to H&M looking for something like this: simple but enough for me to play, sew and use as mold!

It ended up beeing the most expensive piece: €9.95

Este top é tão giro, tem um padrão tão bonito... e fica-me mal como o caraças! Mas por menos de 3€ acho que não encontro o tecido por isso trouxe-o e já o comecei a desfazer! :D :$

This top is so cute, has such a beautiful pattern ... but fits me bad as hell! But for less than 3 € I guess I can not find the fabric so I brought it and already started to undo it! :D :$

Este top foi outra daqueles compras meia loucas! É dois tamanhos acima do meu e não me fica perfeito, mas eu ao que parece tenho tempo a mais e ela já está com algumas lantejolas! 7€

The top was another of those crazy shopping! It is two sizes larger than mine but it seems I have a lot of time so it already has some new sequins!:D  for 7€

 E comprei esta saia!!:D que não ficou bem em nenhuma das minhas fotos por isso desisti e fui tirar estas ao chicismo!:D e a menina está a usa-la tão bem e tudo!:D

A única peça destas 4 que não sofrer nenhuma alteração! adoro! xD - 5€

And finally I bought this skirt!:D that didn't look good in any of my photos so I gave up and went to take these from chicismo :D the girls are using it so well and everything :D
This is also the only item that won't suffer any change! love it! xD - for 5 € ;)

O primeiro a ficar pronto deve ser o top branco e juro a pés juntinhos que vos mostro!:D

B-day presents Moço - DIY poker box

Então cá vão os presentes do Moço! O que eu fiz, e o que lhe comprei por impulso por achar que era uma combinação de awesome e parvo demasiado boa para ser deixada na prateleira! ;)

Já vos mostrei em alguns post o que tinha  feito (em conjunto com a momy) com a técnica de découpage ou a técnica do guardanapo! Esta caixa foi feita com essa técnica quando nas férias de Natal encontrei em minha casa o guardanapo que era a cara do rapaz! (Engraçado que tinha sido eu a comprar o guardanapo há meses e comprei-o porque gostei dele, mas não sabia bem porquê! xD)

So here are the gifts of my bf! The one I did and an another one I bought on impulse because I thought it was an awesome combination of silly and too good to be left on the shelf! ;)

I have already shown in some post what I have made (with momy) with the technique of napkin decoupage! This box was made with this technique when on Christmas holidays I found in my house the napkin it was my bf's face!

Então? O que acharam? Eu apesar de tudo adoro-a!
Eu e a minha mãe no entanto cometemos uma pequeno erro, o guardanapo era demasiado fino para ser colado numa superfície que não fosse branca. Não sabíamos e o Moço adora vermelho por isso fizemos como normalmente: tinta branca + lixar + tinta da cor que queriamos + colar guardanapo, mas como as partes brancas estavam a ficar já tao vermelhas nem a envernizamos!:S uma pena mas assim que voltar a Portugal a minha mãe quer conserta-la (ficou com o orgulho ferido!;P)!

Eu mesmo assim acho que esta mega gira!:D
Ah, não sei se perceberam mas o Moço gosta de poker, por isso como é que eu ia conseguir resistir e não trazer isto:


So, what did you think? After all I love it!
My mother and I however made a small mistake; the napkin was too thin to be pasted on a surface that was not white. We didn't knew and Moço loves red so I did as usual: white paint + sand + paint in the color we wanted + to paste napkin, but as the white parts of the napkin were already getting so red we didn't varnished it!: S too bad but once I'm in Portugal my mom wants to fix it!!

I still think this mega cute! :D
Oh, I don't know if you realized but my Moço loves poker, so how could resist and don't give him this as well:

O Moço faz anos amanhã e estou num "xcitex" para mostrar a prenda que eu lhe fiz (com a ajuda da minha momy!!:D)

Não ficou perfeita porque cometemos um erro - não sabíamos e acontece - mas acho que é recuperável e mesmo assim a prenda é giiiiiiira e totalmente a cara dele!!! :D :D

Até parece que quem faz anos sou eu! xD

My Moço's birthday is tomorrow and I literally look like a child waiting to show him (and you obv) the gift I made him (with my mom's help! :D :D)

It's not perfect because we made a small mistake - didn't knew and this stuff happen - but I think we can make it a little bit better but it's still awesome and totally his face!!!:D :D

E adoro comprar assim camisolas de lã, grandes e fofinhas por 3€ (mesmo até quando já comprei a matéria-prima da mesma por mais - 3.50€). Mas preparares-te para me pedir 40€ por um blazer que sabes que eu estou doidinha para ter, já me parece que estás a esticar a corda!

And I love buying big knits like this for 3€!!! - even when I bought the raw material for more (3.50€!). But getting yourself ready to ask me 40€ for a blazer you know I'm crazy about, seems like you're playing with fire!

Earrings make-over!

Há uns meses vi no blog da Emily do Cupcakes and Cashemere um DIY que consistia em pegar uma peça de bijuteria com brilhantes e depois dar-lhes cor! Ora bem, foi esse "tutorial" em mente que comprei estes brincos:

A few months ago I saw on Emily's blog Cupcakes and Cashmere a DIY which consosted on a piece of jewelry with "diamonds" and then give them color! And it was with that tutorial in mind the reason I bought these earrings:

So far so good, mas depois de vasculhar todos os blogs e mais algum à procura de como tinham feito e de "ter a certeza" que tinham us ado marcadores mas estes por algum motivo não estarem a dar o resultado pretendido resolvi deixar-me ir para a segunda opção:

So far so good, but after searching through all the blogs for the real tutorial and not finding it, I had to open my imagination! I was sure they had used markers but for some reason they aweren't giving the desired result so I had to go for my second option:

Peguei nos meus mais-que-tudo e comecei a pintar os brinco, até ficarem assim:

Estão muuuito longe da perfeição mas a meu ver também estão muuuuito mais perto da beleza! ;D
Estou a  brincar, eu raramente uso brincos mas acho que posso dar uma chance a estes, nem que seja um passeio à praia!;)

They are really far from perfection but in my opinion they got waaaaay closer to beauty!:D
Lol, just kidding, I almost never wear earrings but i think for this pair i might give it a chance, at least for a walk on the beach! ;)

Ps: Foi um estendal deste género que tive de montar para poder pintar as missangas sem elas se colarem à mesa ou ao papel... :$

Meat Free Monday #3 - Soy Bolognaise (english version)

Promised is due and today we have the return of the Meat Free Monday!! (as you're all hungry let's hope nobody noticed today is Tuesday: $ x))

So come on, have talked here about tofu and seitan, and today I will introduce you to the soy protein or textured soy! The name seems a terrible thing but it is the biggest life-saviors of vegetarians, believe it!

The soy protein is produced from soy flakes through a process that uses aqueous extraction and minimum heat. This product is free of carbohydrates and fat. (source: vegetarianismo.com.br) Today soy protein can be found in any supermarket in two formats, a large lump and another thin (this last one is my favorite and easiest to use):

I usually use the thinner one because it doesn't need to be soaked and the texture is easier to please more people - the largest ones has a slightly spongy texture what does not please all tastes! If you are cooking this for the 1st time or for people with a foot back  in relation to vegetarian food, opt for thinner soy!

- Just one more note before we move on to the recipe itself: in almost all the recipes with granulated soy you will read the instruction to put the soy inside water for a couple of hours. This step is more for soybeans in large pieces so they have time to absorb the water and the pieces are not hard - in thin soy you don't need any of that (see why I prefer the thinner one?!;P)!

Soy Bolognaise!

I made this dish last night and was approved by a non-vegetarian! ;)


You'll need:

- Grainy /textured Soy: a handful per person- Soy sausages (huge help to create flavor!) -1 Per person- Tomato sauce
- Onions and garlic
- Olive oil
- Spaghetti
- Mushrooms (I forgot them on my -.-') and /or pepper if you like
- Seasonings (the more the better): pepper, salt, oregano, herbes de Provence, basil ...


1. Put the pasta in a pan with salt to bake while we cook the rest 

2. The Bolognese itself:
- Put in a pan (slitly big because after cooked the spaghetti will come here) olive oil, when hot braise the onion and the garlic.
- When it's gold, put the cut sausages and mushrooms, and involve them a bit, then put the textured soy - be careful because you may have to add a little water (as soy has no fat it can't fry on its own)

  

- Involve and start to season it with salt, pepper and herbs - if it's too "dry" join a little oil.

- Add the tomato sauce and time to go wild: herbs, salt, pepper will shin here!
Keep tsting it to see if it's going well or which herd is missing.
This part does not take much to do but we must be stirring so they do not grab the bottom.
When the pasta is cooked drain the water and stir into the soy pan!


Serve hot sprinkled with (a looooot of) oregano and grated cheese if you want too!;D
